In the List of Subjects, out of these 37 subjects, 13 are Languages, allowing candidates to demonstrate proficiency in various linguistic options. These language subjects cater to diverse academic and professional interests, supporting students who wish to pursue studies in literature, communication, translation, or other language-related fields.
In addition to languages, there are 23 domain-specific subjects. These subjects focus on specialized areas of study and are intended to assess a candidate’s knowledge and understanding within a particular discipline. Domain-specific subjects enable students to align their examination choices with their intended field of higher education or career aspirations. This ensures that candidates are evaluated in areas that are most relevant to their academic goals.
Furthermore, there is one General Aptitude Test, which is designed to evaluate a candidate’s overall reasoning ability, analytical skills, and general awareness. This test serves as a common measure of foundational competencies that are valuable across multiple disciplines.
Candidates are permitted to select a maximum of five subjects or languages in total. Within this limit, they may choose any combination of subjects and/or languages, based on their interests and eligibility criteria. However, the final selection must align with the requirements and guidelines prescribed by the applicable University or Organization. This flexible yet structured framework ensures both choice and academic relevance, while maintaining standardized assessment practices.
